A gorgeous nature lodge, stunning lake views, a perfect fall day, and oh yes, the best part, the most wonderful bride and groom? I mean, those are just the makings of a perfect wedding day! When I arrived to Shannon and Matthew's late September wedding, I was just blown away. They held their nuptials at the beautiful Burr Oak Lodge nestled amongst the trees at Burr Oak State Park in Glouster, Ohio. I hadn't been there since my college days and believe me, I had forgotten how gorgeous the backdrop is. It was supposed to be rainy the entire day but these two lucked out like crazy with the rain holding off for all their photos and festivities. And they truly deserved it! They're kind, funny, laid back, and it's easy to see they are ridiculously over the moon for each other. And as a lake enthusiast myself, I was so excited when they said they wanted to do their photos on the boat docks with the water as their background. They, and their wedding party, were troopers, hiking up and down the steep hill to the lodge and keeping their balance on the wobbly docks. But oh man, was it worth it! When I left these two busting out their best moves on the dance floor, I just knew they were in for a wonderful marriage!
